CARE & REPAIRS

Leather and vine wood are living materials.
They age; they are not meant to stay new.

The leather

Wipe the calfskin with a soft, dry cloth after use. Keep it away from prolonged water, from heat and from direct sun.

No solvent, no alcohol, no household product. The calfskin is meant to take on a patina: it softens, it marks, it darkens where it is handled. That is the material behaving as it should, not a defect.

The vine wood

The handle needs nothing more than a dry cloth.

Grain, curve and small markings differ from one piece to the next — they are the trace of the vine the wood was taken from. Do not soak it, sand it or varnish it.

Storing a piece

Keep the bag in its dust bag, lightly stuffed, away from light and damp. Avoid leaving it hanging by the handle for long periods.

Repairs

Write to the atelier with photographs of the piece and, if you have it, the reference of your order.

We answer within 48 hours with an assessment, a lead time and — where the work is not covered by a guarantee — a quote. Repairs are carried out in Paris, by the hands that made the piece.
